ESG
Hoogendoorn uses the ESG (Environment, Social & Governance) framework to manage risks and opportunities around sustainability issues. Environment deals with our own CO2 footprint on housing and transportation where we take steps to minimize our emissions. Social aspects include employee safety and satisfaction, education and development, but also diversity and inclusion. Corporate governance deals with doing business in an honest and transparent way, but also with the business risks of information security. Hoogendoorn has medium and long term targets to become best in class on each of those subjects.

Impact
Hoogendoorn’s largest contribution to sustainability lies in the impact that our products, our knowledge and our partnerships can have on improving sustainability for our customers. That impact far exceeds our own footprint. We evaluate our performance on 6 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and work towards long term targets. We prioritize our focus on projects that will achieve maximum impact.

"As a company we take responsibility for the impact of our business activities on people and on the environment. With Corporate Social Responsibility, we want to globally commit to a better society by contributing to sustainable local food production and improving and protecting the environment. This means that our sustainability strategy goes beyond our solutions for our customers alone. As a company, we also search for ways to improve on sustainability in our internal processes and other business activities.
We are already well on our way to becoming more and more sustainable. For example; we only buy exclusively certified green wind energy or CO2 compensated gas, our vehicle fleet will soon be fully electric and we also pay a lot of attention to informing our colleagues about sustainability and what they themselves can do to contribute to this. In the coming years we will continue to take steps in this area”.
